SUPERINTENDENT CONTRIBUTION TO TEACHING AND LEARNING?

My Dissertation Topic is The Relationship Between Superintendent Longevity and Student Achievement.

While my research awaits completion of my proposal, I am reviewing all the literature I can find on the superintendent's role as an educational leader. There are many variables that impact teaching and learning.

Are there superintendent roles that appropriately enhance student learning?

What are they?

Are there some areas that the superintendent should leave to other administrators or staff?

More postings will follow.
